Lucni Bouda

Location: Luční Bouda (Meadows Chalet; 1410 m - http://www.lucnibouda.cz/en ) is located in the Giant Mountains National Park. Luční Bouda is reached from Prague in 2.5 hours. Participants arriving in Prague on Sunday Sep 6 will enjoy a social programme with a visit of the city centre and a boat trip. Transfer by bus from Prague to the conference venue will be arranged with several departures throughout Monday, adjusted to participants’ travel arrangements with arrival before the conference opening in the evening, to enjoy a taste of PAROHÁČ (The STAG) – the locally brewed beer. Bus return transfer to Prague, early morning departure from Luční Bouda.

Registration

  • The registration for MiP 2015 opens on June 3rd.
  • The link for online registration form will be published on this website soon.
  • The deadline for early-registration will be July 14th.
  • Late-registration starts on July 15th.

Conference fees

MiP2015 registration fee (including bi-annual MiPmembership, conference organization, materials, venue, return transfer Prague – Meadows chalet):

  • regular: 320.- EUR
  • regular + lifetime-membership (instead of bi-annual MiPmembership): 600.- EUR
  • for students: 280.- EUR
  • for MiPmembers: 250.- EUR


Late registration fee: surcharge of 50.- EUR

In case of fully booked conference capacity, late registrations may not be accepted.

Accomodation

Accomodation costs are divided into two categories:

  • 350.- EUR for double room
  • 250.- EUR for triple room

Any meals and coffee breaks are included in the price.

The cancellation policy

Cancellations will be accepted until August 16th with a refund of 50 %.


MiP2015 Programme

Social programme

An optional pre-conference social event will be organized in Prague on Sunday 6th evening, including a river boat cruise with dinner and overnight lodging on a boat hotel - at total cost of 80 EUR.

Scientific programme: Outline

The conference will focus on:

  1. Alterations of mitochondrial physiology in pathologic states – mitochondrial diseases, cancer, diabetes etc.
  2. Structural basis of mitochondrial physiology – mitochondrial biogenesis, dynamics of mitochondrial supercomplexes, changes of mitochondrial ultrastructure
  3. Mitochondrial physiology in life and death of the cell – regulation of mitochondrial energy provision signalling, permeability transition
  4. Mitochondria in whole body physiology – exercise physiology, enviromental effects etc.


Abstracts can be submitted into one of four programme topics.

Abstracts in sequential sessions

  • Oral = 10 + 5 min: All talks are 10 min plus 5 min discussion. The invited lecturers provide generously an opportunity to a majority of MiPparticipants to present their work orally, from senior scientists to students.
  • P-flash = 5 + 2 min: Flash presentations or poster flashes are 5 min plus 2 min discussion. You may optionally present your work in addition as a poster
  • Poster = Poster presentation: Posters are up during the entire conference, providing an excellent opportunity for person-to-person discussions and for integrating your work into discussions in the plenary sessions.

Travel info

Bus transfer from Prague to the conference venue will be arranged according to participants arrivals in Prague on September 7th (Monday). The conference will start in the evening, and ends Thursday evening (september 10th). The participants are expected to departure the venue on Friday 11th morning in order to manage departures from Prague in the afternoon. The conference venue is in a National park and cannot be accessed by private vehicles. Private vehicles must be parked in the valley village of Pec pod Snezkou. Transfer up to the venue will be provided by hotel vehicles.
