Description
MitoKit-CII/Malonate-nv (diacetoxymethyl malonate) is a plasma membrane-permeable prodrug (permeable malonate; Mnanv) that diffuses across the plasma membrane. Cleavage of diacetoxymethyl residues is mediated by intracellular esterases, thus releasing malonate in the intracellular space. NeuroVive #: NV161
Abbreviation: Mnanv
Reference: MitoKit-CII, MitoKit-CII MitoPedia, Ehinger 2016 Nat Commun

Application in HRR
- Malonate-nv: 10 mg, 7.7 µL, 5.24 M, MW=248.1 g.mol-1
- Preparation of 100 mM stock solution:
- Add 395.78 µL DMSO in 7.7 µL NV161.
- Divide into 40 µL portions.
- Store up to 6 months at -20 °C or up to 1 week at room temperature.
- Preparation of 10 mM stock solution of Mnanv (from the 100 mM stock):
- Dilute 40 µL 100 mM stock solution with 360 µL DMSO.
- Divide into 100 µL portions.
- Store up to 6 months at -20 °C or up to 1 week at room temperature.
- Preparation of 10 mM stock solution of Mnanv (from the 100 mM stock):
- » O2k manual titrations
- Event name: Mnanv
- Titration volume: 1 µL steps using a 10 µL syringe (2 mL O2k-Chamber).
- Final concentration: 5 µM steps.
- Please consider that the final concentration needed in the O2k-Chamber may vary according to your cell type.
