Preparation of Resorufin Solutions

Storage solution

Prepare a 1.2 mM storage solution of resorufin by adding 13.5 mg resorufin in 50 ml of a 10 mM KOH solution and store aliquots of 1 ml or 2 ml of this storage solution at -20 °C.

Stock solution

Prior to experiments thaw 2 ml storage solution, pipette 1,666 µl into a 25 ml volumetric flask and add 10 mM KOH to 50 ml to obtain a stock solution of 80 µM resorufin.
