Mitochondrial function will be discussed on a comparative basis in different tissues, species and populations, addressing the question how animal, plant and yeast models contribute to our understanding of mitochondrial adaptations and mitochondrial dysfunction. What is mitochondrial health? What is mitochondrial disease?
